Intentions of the blog:

1) Events in life can rarely be orchestrated to pan out as desired, but at least in the kitchen--given enough practice--one can have some sense of control. Accordingly, I find cooking to be relaxing and a hobby that makes me healthy in more than one way, which as led me to think that everyone should share in the pleasure.

2) It serves as a record of my sampling vegan recipes and restaurants--not unlike a diary, but one of food, and stripped of the diary genre's archetypal vapid gossip and "squee-ing" over inane things.

3) As well, from endeavoring to provide pictures of and commentary on the products of my explorations, I hope that it gives readers some sense of the recipes' utility (i.e. if there could be alterations that improve whatever is being analyzed).

4) Why vegan? Because, I like this experiment in seeing just how far purely plant-based food can go.

Vegan? But what do you eat??? Epically delicious things. OBVIOUSLY.
